Japan has over 127 million people on an island a bit bigger than the state of California. But when I was there, I rarely felt crowded. I felt calm and everything was organized and efficient and people were kind and helpful. I am always planning my next trip to Japan, and always remembering the trip I already took.
If you want to know what that first trip was like, then you should buy this. Jack Scoresby and I put it together and it collects a ton of our photographs from the trip. It’s also a kind of fascinating exploration of the friendship Jack and I have; which probably isn’t what you’d expect.
We’re selling it at cost (for $17.60), because we just really want you to have it. :)

I had a dream last night that I was in Japan. In my dream it looked the same as Toronto, and I was really disappointed in that. But I remember looking around and thinking “Katie West was here!” haha
