Just found a cut or bite or something on the back of my arm. Convince myself it is the result of an alien injection. Fuck with it until it bleeds. Become paranoid about government alien DNA testing. Demand Matt gets me a bandaid. Refuse to call him Matt. Refuse to call him anything other than Moulder, Fox, Agent Moulder, or Fox Moulder. Insist he call me Scully. Or Dana as he puts the bandaid on my arm. Discuss dead people and mysterious biological organisms found in the chest cavity of John Doe in attempt to distract us from obvious sexual tension as he hovers close to my face. Just as we are about to kiss he says, “Scully wait! I need to buy new wingtips!*”

*the only shoes Moulder owns and he’s always wearing them while walking through dark forests and mud. He needs many pairs.
