1. Things you probably already know.

I have a problem with the Tumblr Directory and those Recommendations.

I was talking with Keir about it today, as he seems to have figured out why we can’t be recommended. He can’t be because he’s marked his blog as NSFW. I have never marked anything I do as NSFW, so my blog isn’t designated that way, but I am in the Sexuality directory which probably means I am automatically marked as NSFW.

But regardless of that, it should be obvious that blogs listed in the Sexuality and Erotica sections of the Directory are NSFW; however, this shouldn’t exclude people within these categories from being able to be recommended and awarded for their awesomeness.

So even though Keir’s probably right, (and someone else in the Sexuality directory said the same thing) doesn’t mean it’s right.

And also, everyone in the Gay and Lesbian category is simply assumed NSFW? What the fuck is up with that?

It’s not that big of a deal, but it just seems ridiculous to me for Tumblr to deny a portion of their users the ability to participate in the fun times. Come on. People can censor their internets on their own, they don’t need Tumblr’s help; if they do, they probably shouldn’t be on the internets in the first place.
