Because I was busy learning Japanese on the streetcar this morning, I completely missed my stop. I had to get off at Bay in order to catch the 740 GO bus so I could make my 915 eye appointment in Newmarket. But I didn’t.
So at 7:32 I finally realized I’d missed my stop and got off the streetcar. This gave me eight minutes to run to Union to catch the bus.
So I did. I had no choice. If I missed that bus, I would miss my appointment. I had to flag down the bus as it was driving out of the station, I almost died, but I made it! And people on the bus were like, “good run!”, “nice one!”, “way to go!” It would’ve been hilarious if I wasn’t so close to death.
But I’m here, at my appointment. And they just called my name.

Inspiring. I’ve been there before. Not...meant metaphorically.
